Please help, I have a Portadyne 2 valve Record Player BSR Turntable in need of a repair, the square bit on the amps fallen off the chassis, when plugged in there is little volume. Would be lovely to use it and enjoy. (
It not a problem I can solve on my own as any repairs I try are carried on on the kitchen table, thank you for all the info on this site , i have got a Fidelity HF 45 that was seized up working because I read your threads. I look after my dad full time who has dementia, playing records on a basic set he's more interested in than stereo Hi Fi , pleasant relief from News 24! (Cris ,Isle of Skye UK) |

Hello and welcome to the forums.
Could you be more specific about "the square bit on the amp" which has fallen off the chassis please. Posting pictures would help. http://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=77650

I am not doing well at transferring photos to here of the Portadyne. No idea what model it is, nor what that square bit's called, it's not like there are many parts to the amplifier on these.
I give up I was wanting help. |

Can you clarify something for us please Cris. Are you looking for someone to repair this player for you, or are you seeking advice on how to repair it yourself.
If the former, your chances of finding someone to do the job will be greatly increased if you are willing to send it to them, but that could prove expensive. If the latter, we will need more information.
