Have seen how much they are asking for these now ! question as I don't have an original re chargeable battery , I need to fix up some other supply , the external dc jack is marked up as 2 volts whereas the adaptor takes two 1.5 volt batteries ,as I don't have an adaptor I will be powering it via the jack , can you regulate three volts down to two volts? if I was using ext batteries or maybe I could find a mains power adaptor and convert it to two volts what do you think. Mick.

Maybe just easier and for full compatibility, power from 2 x 1.5V batteries and copy/make the regulator/stabiliser circuit (from schematic) to get the 2 volts.
