Default TEAC X3 / X300 differences ?

Hi,

Does anyone know what the difference is between the TEAC X3 and X300 ?
As the photos I've seen of these 2 models look almost identical apart from the head cover and the colour of the level controls.
Is one just a later model ?
Which one if either is the better machine ?

Thanks,

Keith.

I think the only real difference is EE tape support in X-300.

I believe the X-3 also supported EE tapes.

I thought X-3 mk II had EE support, but not X-3.
