Re: Kodachrome last remaining film roll developed in Kansas
The very first Kodachrome was just 10 ASA, wasn't it?

The E3 and 4 kits also came with some pretty dire warnings (even in those health-and-safety-free days) regarding the toxicity of some of the chemicals used - they weren't kidding - particularly re tertiary butyl borane, used as the reversal agent in E4
I suspect that Kodachrome chemistry included some considerably more dangerous stuff, and that proper protective gear would be essential. |

Re: Kodachrome last remaining film roll developed in Kansas
This little roll of Kodak Kodachrome 8mm cine film is one of a large quantity I discovered at the tip years ago. The earliest is dated 1938 and still projects as good as new. This particular reel has an expiry date of May 1952 and was processed by Kodak in 1951. It contains superb colour film of the Festival of Britain including the 'Skylon', shots of Brighton including the Dome, Castle Square Gardens and finally the Eastbourne Regatta. RIP Kodachome, you served us well. Regards, John.
