Default UNISEF TU-1 Help Needed

Hi guys, I have a problem with this walkman.

Whenever I load a tape it will go for a while and completely stop after few seconds of working, and if it does not stop it produces horrendous wow and flutter. If I try pressing FF button it will not engage and lock, without simultaneously pressing the Stop button to start spinning the flywheel. Rewind works just fine. I did some poking and snooping and figured out that it is about magnet (just like in some Pioneer decks) which engages and disengages motor - an advanced electronic auto-stop system. Suspected that belts are way loose, but they do seem fine. Any ideas please?
