Default Re: HF Transceiver front end

Well.... after messing about for a few hours with Toko based inductors... the T37-2 torroids arrived.
At first I used "leaded" caps.... as per Jeremy's circuit, "see post 31" and was most unimpressed..however switching to SMD caps... the results were as startling as previously disappointing....I had to adjust the series "ground" trap capacitor from 1nF to 680 pf to get the 9 Mhz point at -45 db....... with 1 nF it was sat at approx 8.3 Mhz.

I attach the new 40 m filter..........AND... it is symetrical.. i.e works both ways without any discernible difference.
Thanks Jeremy
