Japanese transistor pinouts, 2SA and 2SB
Does anyone know the pinouts of the following Japanese devices?
2SA353, 2SB175, 2SB400 and 2SB423. They are all Ge PNP in a tin can like the old AC128s etc used in Roberts radios circa late '60s. Possibly the same connections? The meter says they may be but of course the C and E could be swapped over!

Is there a dot or bar by one of the leads? If so that will mark the collector. Hopefully that'll confirm your meter checks.
Unfortunately my Towers book is buried in a box somewhere so I can't look it up, and the DATA one on my Valve Data CD doesn't give the pinouts. |

Hi Andy.
They are all the same pinout as AC128. Regards. Mike. |

The indicator spot isn't always there, either because it was never applied or has worn off, but you can work out the connections from the triangular arrangement as illustrated above.

Thanks for that Lads, it's confirmed what I suspected, just wanted to be sure!
