Default Mcmichael 135

Hi Guys
After nearly 6 months restoring this radio dont get much time these days its finally done.It works perfectly picking up local stations as well with just a short piece of wire as an aerial.I still have the stand to repolish.I drilled all the old capacitors insides out and carefully installed the new caps into them so they still look original. The speaker cloth is not original found the best match i could from Sid Chaplin. Many thanks again to Phil G4SPZ and Ekcobeach, without these guys i wouldnt have got very far with this radio.

Well done Ade, it looks great. I have two of these awaiting restoration. One has a bronze coloured cloth which is rotten and the other has pale cloth like yours. Which of Sid's cloths did you use?

Ade

That looks a lovely radio. I am working on a McMichael superhet just now and they certainly seem solidly engineered.

Cheers

Why don't you invest in some proper stumps?
