Question GPO 706F Connections?

Hi all, this is my first post in this section, i have a gpo 706f phone which i would love to use, can this be wired to work with a standard bt lead?
If so, how & where do i connect the four wires from the bt lead?
any advice would be gratefully received.
Btw there the remnants of two cut off wires (see pics)

Hi Andrew, thanks for the link, interesting site, but cannot find a diagram on
how to connect new bt lead, my phone does not have marked terminals like the later version i need to identify what terminal is what, this seems like it was used with only two wires?

In your left hand picture T1 is at top left. Numbering is left to right and continues left to right in the lower row. Just like reading a book.

Hi,
As Graham says T1 is at the top left etc. if you look very closely at the moulding you may see T1, T9, T10 and T19 inscribed in the moulding close to the appropriate terminals.
This does also depend on the age of the phone; I have seen phones of this type with both visible and non-visible markings.

Regards
Andrew
