Default "Lancashire, Home of Industry" TV programme

Wireless sets factory is among the many listed industries.
(I'll be interested to see whether it is Ferranti.)

I saw 3/4 of this. Fantastic! It will be repeated usually about 6 weeks later. John.

Walking around the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham last week, a friend and myself were discussing the relative roles of Manchester and Birmingham in terms of industry and manufacturing. Then of course, you need to factor in Derby for its early use of water-driven machinery before steam power, but at some point they must have 'lost their way' to the other two.
