Default What are these screws with an integral starburst ?

I found a SMPS case in the street and would like to clean it up and use it in a larger proejct . I’d like to use these screws ...

(See photo ) but need a name for them generically ... the biting side has a starburst effect which clamps the surface better

The second one is a close up of the case . Both are enlarged, they’re probably M2.5 or M3 self-tapping; it’s the starry aspect that I’m trying to define

I don't know what they're called, but they seem to turn up a lot in generic computer hardware. I've got loads of scavenged ones if you want a few.

That close up of the first screw looks like looking into a jet engine! As for a name, try Toothed Screws, or Toothed Hex Screws.

Shakeproof screws I've heard them called.

Serrated flange screws or serrated flange head screws.

The profile of the serrations seems to be a 'sawtooth'.

I imagine this would be an advantage in a shake-proof screw.
