Default New Posts - V - Todays Posts?

I just replied to the thread (Close up photo question).

If I search forum by 'New Posts' its not visible (well not on the first page) but if I search by 'Today's Posts' it's there.

I do not really understand the differences between 'todays, latest, new etc

Your own posts won't show up in new posts.

Today's posts are just that.

New posts are ones you haven't read.

That explains why I dont see my replies, presumably in New posts they will always be hidden from me?

I visit the forum, often several times in a day, what is the best shortcut (URL) I can have on the desktop that will take me straight to all the latest post?

I missed out please, sorry.

I normally head straight for ‘user CP’ and any threads I’ve posted anything on show up there, then click new posts to see what else has been going on.

I cannot remember what the shortcut was when I was using XP and Windows 7 but it opened the forum with the all the 'most recent'? posts in time order. Whatever I do now seems to need more clicking and then (as I now know) dont see my replies.

To get posts from the last 7 days, latest first:-

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...hp?do=getdaily

- Which is the 'Today's Posts' link copied from the 'Quick Links' dropdown.

Thanks Trigon, that has worked.
I think is what I used originally but I now know there are differences in what the shortcut does depending on how the shortcut is 'copied' into the text box. What I thought would work is opening a page from the quick links menu item and then copying the address of that page. I think the page that opens though has slightly different details each day so when I first test the shortcut it looks fine, but then the next day fails.

I copied the address you posted (the one between the brackets) after I found the link did not work.

Thanks again
Ian
