Under our 46" Samsung TV dating from 2012 there's a Samsung DVR/DVD recorder/player, a Sky HD box (bought from a forum member here for Freesat), a Yamaha Pianocraft hifi system with CD/tuner and an Echo Dot which is also connected to it. The TV is connected to the hifi via an optical to analog converter which gives much better audio than taking it from the headphone socket.

1. Sony Blu-ray player
2. Marantz CD63 CD player
3. Quad 36 pre amp
4. Quad 306 power amplifier
5. Intel NUC computer (Linux)

The TV is a Panasonic and "smart" but trying to surf the Web on it is awkward with the supplied handset and I haven't been able to find a decent keyboard / key pad combination that is properly supported - Hence the NUC.

IMHO that's very poor considering the TV is OLED and cost a couple of grand

Underneath the front room set (B&O 8802) is a Thorn/Ferguson 8947 VCR, Playstation (original) and Sega Mega Drive.

I remember when repairing televisions in customers homes back in the 50s and 60s that the most common thing found underneath the tv was a pile of shoes. These usually had to be shifted before work commenced.I sometimes had the surprise discovery of a present left by the family pet which I had the customer remove.Happy days.Peter.

Our Samsung LCD TV stands on an Armstrong 625 receiver which is connected to a Sony CDP M54 Cd player and a Sansui SR 212 record deck.

Under the TV in the main lounge - nothing apart from a small magnetically shielded speaker unit (actually from a Thorn TX10 satellite speaker stereo setup) that performs the "centre" channel of a surround sound system.

the TV (B&O Beovision 6002) is on it's own stand, unique to that model.

The AV kit is in the cabinet to the other side of the fireplace - Beta and S-VHS VCRs, HDD and DVD recorders, Laserdisc player and surround sound amp with built in VHS VCR (Sony SLV-AV1000). Distributed at RF to the B&O set and the rest of the house.

Hi Peter, thanks

My cat (avatar) is (or was as sadly she is no longer with us) my beloved Maine Coon cat.

The room is a little untidy right now but the AV gear is still there. No "flat panel" TV sets here.

That reminds me of my setup, I almost never use my VCR as a VCR but it serves me well as a clock!

Its still going then? BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! They all do that sir... If it's the same one that ITT tube still looks nice and bright.

You must need a set of steps to use that lovely 900K though.

Under our Toshiba 49" there is:
On the left:
Technics SA-X900L MIDI system
Technics SL-PJ25 CD Player
On The Right:
Sony UBP-X700B UHD Blu-Ray player
Freesat Freetime+ Humax HDR1000S
Philips VR 510 VHS
Technics SL-J90 Turntable
SNES
Plus various CD's/DVD's/Vinyl both sides and a pair of Sansui speakers for the Hi-Fi behind the TV, not the best location but all we've got at the moment.

Physically under the TV? Nothing, as it's wall mounted.

Connected to it I have one Humax Foxsat Freesat HDR box, one Yamaha BD-P677 Blu-ray player and a hardwired internet connection.

Also connected are a set top box controller so that the TV's remote control operates the Humax, the rear surround sound speakers (hard-wired) and the front channel speakers (wireless)
