Hacker RP10 Data
Would anybody know if any changes were made to the RP10 after serial number 38000? I ask because Paul's service data sheet covers up to this number, but my RP10 has a serial number of 50516. This will be my first attempt at a restoration so I'll need as much accurate info as possible.
Thankyou. |

Re: Herald RP10 Data
That I think is the change to the separate amp board I think.
Someone will confirm this though I hope.

Re: Herald RP10 Data
The main RP10 change was from a separate amplifier design to having a single large board, and happened well before s/n 38000. My own RP10 manual (April 1st, 1962 issue) gives the following changes affecting models from 38000 onwards:
(a) A new printed board is used. (b-e) Different oscillator coil and IF transformer type numbers. (f) A 470 ohm resistor and a .04 mfd condenser, R34 and C41, are added to decouple the 3rd IF HT supply. (g) R32, 82k, is increased to 120k. (h) C24, 100mfd, is increased to 300 mfd. What I can't confirm is whether these were the only changes introduced by the time serial 50516 was reached. Paul |
