Default T & M & Mullard Lettering?

Hi!

Does anyone recognise this serif typeface used in a lot of T & M Service Manuals & Mullard Publications, e.g., Mullard's 1967 PAL Colour TV Book?

I've identified two typefaces that seem to be the "de-facto" standard for writing Service Manuals, one is "Letter Gothic", a sans-serif font which a lot of Racal T & M manuals use, and the one I've attached here!

It looks very similar to Courier (not Courier New as is on most PC's these days).

Came out mid(ish) '50's

Easy to lose time here https://fontsinuse.com/
Type the decade as '1940s' (include the 's') in the search box top right or 1950s etc.

Did a bit more digging.

The font is indeed Courier as was the norm for typewriters that many manuals were typed with at the time.

Again, as mentioned above, Courier and Courier New are two different styles (and I think New is basically ugly).
