What about cream automobile tyre wall paint? I'd say it was the correct formulation..?.?

That may work ok as its for a tyre and a tyre flexes .I presume the original paint cracks and peels as the rubber slightly srinks over the years , I have a tug 12 to do at somepoint but havnt had it apart yet
