Someone will probably recognise it, but if not could you show us close-ups of the lettering on the black panels? I think I can make out bass and treble on the left, but it doesn't look like an amp. Are the two big valves KT88?

Maybe a public address amp? Looks pretty powerfull with KT88's (or may be 66's). Can we have a close-up of the controls and maybe some valve numbers?

SB

Interesting marking on the case 'CCVI'. 206 in Roman numerals. Wonder if it means anything?

I can just about discern 'gram', 'mic', 'tuner', 'bass' and 'treble' on the controls.

Public address amplifier, methinks.

Agreed. Probably from a store or large warehouse. Installed with a tape recorder playing background music with a mike that kicks in with a button to make announcements to staff or shoppers.

Cheers,

Steve P.

Yes, a PA amp. Does the meter and rotary switch to the left of it allow checks on valve currents, and perhaps bias adjustment for the output valves?

Several potential controls seem to be blanked off, so is this the version without music?

Hi All,
Couple of pics for you, the valves are KT88, controls on left are =
top = Mic
middle blanked
Bottom = gram/phono.
