Can any one please tell me what type of capacitor I need to replace one like this I think it is an electoletic type it is a 2uf 350vdc. I am not sure what to get. I have taken a picture of a identical one from another radio of the same model. Can any one direct me to the correct replacement please. Thank you

Re: Ekco U354
This will do the job although the 350vw was probably a stock item for Ekco. It will probably not have more than 100v across it even on a very strong signal. Some of Ekco sets used a 150vw cap in that position.
https://www.cricklewoodelectronics.com/2U2H450.html If you have any electrolytic caps in stock say 2.2 to 4.7ufd and 160vw or above I would use one of those otherwise Cricklewood can supply 2.2ufd at 450vw for 50p. Make sure it’s connected the correct way, positive to chassis, it’s the AM rejection capacitor for the ratio detector. C27 in the manufacture manual.

Re: Ekco U354
It is from that one. Same value Capacitor as the one shown. But not the one shown. The one i want to replace as it seems as if it has started leaking or badly corroded at the positive end so i want to change it

Re: Ekco U354
How you posted in the wrong thread?
Perhaps you meant to post here:- https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=183303 Either way I'm puzzled as there's only one 2uF capacitor in an Ekco U354. Please could you stick to one thread per set.
