Default Wharfedale Teesdale SP2 tweeter replacement

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement for the above speakers?

Many thanks.

A company called ANAPEACH RESTORATION have recently restored a Wharfedale Teesdale. Are you quite sure the Ribbon Tweeter has failed and it's not a Crossover problem? I think these may be very difficult to source as these speakers are 40+ years old now - I would consider fitting 2 x matching Audax (or similar low price) Dome Tweeters which might sound sweeter.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for your reply. It's definitely an open circuit tweeter.

I'll try and track down the tweeters that you suggest.

Thanks again,
Tim.

IMHO, the tweeters are the stars of these speakers, so I would see if it could be repaired, or wait for another, sacrificial pair to come along, rather than sticking in a pair of domes.
