Default BVWS 2011 Garden Party at Gerry's

Dear friends,

BVWS members (for those who are not, you can join on the day) will be flocking in their hordes to Dulwich for the annual garden party. This event is very important - to see Gerry, to see the museum which contains so many pieces I am still finding ones I have not seen before (and I joined when I was 14!) and for the ultimate social event with your friends away from the wife.

There will be something special presented to Gerry (shhh - it's a surprise!!!) and there is enough food and drink to choke a PX4. The ever groovy lucky dip, good sized mart with lots of pieces, sets, parts and test equipment up for sale, plus quizzes, handshakes and sun will be there to assist your pleasure.
Please make sure you get your tickets before the event - which is...

SATURDAY 4TH JUNE

Please call the museum directly on 0208 670 3667 to book your tickets - you get the cheap rate before the event.

See you there!

Laurence

I think it's 12 noon. That's certainly a good time to come because ISTR lunch is usually served at 1300. The end is when the last people go home, possibly about 1700.

Hello All,

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the BVWS Garden party at the Museum in Dulwich this coming Saturday is going to be a cracker with a live band.
Everything is going to plan nicely and the Museum team are very busy getting everything ready.

Just to help Eileen to judge the amount of food and drink to stock up on, can you let them know that you are attending.
We don't want to have a lot of wasted food on the day.

You can call to let them know on 0208-670-3667.

You still have time to send in your ticket bookings (just) to receive the discounted "pre-booking" price and collect your tickets at the door when you arrive.

The weather is set to be very nice and it will be an excellent day out with lots of bargains from the boot sale radios stalls in the courtyard.

If you have any items you would like to sell in a "Bring and Buy" style of sale then please do so and they can be added to the stalls for the usual 10% commission.

There will also be plenty of raffle tickets for the 500th Aurora Standards Converter on the day and the draw for the winner of this will be made in the afternoon.

I expect to be roped in on the Bar, so come and say hello and buy lots of drinks.

Lots of vintage equipment will be running on the day in the different areas and guided tours of the rooms can be arranged in the afternoon.

All monies raised on the day will go to Museum funds!

I look forward to seeing you all there

Mike...

Hardly dare mention it but even the weather looks as if it will co-operate too: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/...t_weather.html

We (son Alex and myself) really enjoyed it. The weather couldn't have been better, the food superb, the band were really good. Nice to chat and catch up with other members, some unfortunately I didn't get round to seeing!

A great day out and well worth the trip. Big thanks to the Museum staff and BVWS team.
