Default A few items to go.

Clearout time again !
After finding myself back in gainful employment, certain projects and other 'priceless collectables' ( !!) will have to go.

1. Home made tuner and stereo amp. Both nicely done in teak sleeves which are awaiting some laquer/polish. Working status not known. 30
2. Bell and Howell Tape Motion analyser. no idea how /if it works. Bought prinarliy for the case. 10
3. Collaro RC456 record changer - untested , missing the mat 5
4. Quad FM3 tuner. Not working - lampholders for tuning indicator removed ( in plastic bag ) I have the case somewhere.... 25

... a few more

5. Philips PM 5324 Sig Gen - not working on all ranges properly. Spans from 100Khz to 100 Mhz and Has useful wobbulator function on a '10.7 MHz range' and ditto on a '465Khz range for doing IFs. I have acquired another one but theyre really useful bits of kit 30
6. Ferranti Stereo record Player ( 1016 ? ) with a Garrard 209 Deck - As purchased ready for refurbishing. Appears to have a shure magnetic cart fitted ( ?? ) , so
with a decent preamp added would be quite a decent quality unit. 2nd speaker is in a detachable lid, for something resembling a decent stereo image ! 35
( which is what I paid originally )
7. My old Weller PU2D /TCP which has served me well since 1979 ! needs a good spruce up. Tested yesterday and it heats up OK 30
8. LEVELL microvoltmeter TM3B - rather battle scarred but powers up and the meter is OK. May do for spares etc 8
9. ( not shown ) large pile of the Red "R & TVS " books. All the usual suspects, but not the later 70s and 80s ones. FOC (but only if collected )

Collection on all these is preferred. MAY be able to post some smaller items

Andy,

I would love to be considered for the PM5324 please, if you'd consider posting.

Many thanks,

If there's a hat then I would also like to be considered for the Philips PM5324. Seems to be a popular item! The Quad tuner might also be of interest.
(BTW, Postage would be required.)

The manual for the PM5324 is readily available but doesn't always include the circuit. A forum member (can't remember who) sent me a copy of the circuit. If anyone wants a copy PM me with your email address and I'll send it to you.

I had a problem with mine in that the 1kHz signal was distorted but changing all the electrolytics in the oscillator cured it. They are readily accessible without having to dismantle the unit. The range problem may be the selection switching.

That might have been me - a long time ago now.

The PM5324 is an excellent piece of equipment and, like all Philips test gear, is well made and seems to go on for ever without too many problems. Highly recomended.

It was Keith's recommendation in his posts and article about FM alignment that attracted me to it.

Thanks to everyone for their interest in these items. Sorry it's taken so long - W*RK !!
I put all the names in the obligatory hat ( see pics ! )
And...
The lucky winner of the Philips is .....

Nick The Dentist

Other items have been allocated as follows :

Tape motion anaylser and Levell meter - Redders 03 ( collected )
Weller Iron - Station X
Quad Tuner. Ajs 37

All Remaining items not spoken for ( and those allocated if more convenient ) can probably be brought to NVCF, if I can get written permission to go (!!)

Otherwise it's postage as originally planned.

Andy

Only the record player remains.
The rest of the items have been dispatched or donated to the BVWTVM so this
