Default Electric Heater ID?

It looks like a heater, can anyone ID the manufacturer/approx. year etc?

It's the clearest image I can do.

Lawrence.

In addition, I know the photo was taken sometime between 1939 and possibly the early 1950's.

The start year of 1939 is 100% definite.

I've tried to enhance the image a bit - the fire is certainly distinctive on account of those wavy bars, but I don't think I've ever met one like it.

I've done a Google pics search for Berry's (inc. Magicoal) GEC (inc. Magnet) Metropolitan Vickers (inc. Cosmos) Ferranti, Creda, Hotpoint, Wellco, New World, Ideal and probably some others that I've since forgotten, also tried Ebay but nothing yet.
