Has anybody else noticed that MW and LW radio dials always used to be marked with wavelengths in metres; then, when we went metric, they changed to being marked with frequencies in kHz?
Was there a reason for this?

So it was probably just coincidence with the timing, then?
May as well close this thread, as there's already a link to the earlier one which pretty much says it all anyway.
