Re: TR1120 Receiver
David, I'm confused when you say 'TR1120 Receiver', I think you must mean the R1120, which is the receiver unit in the TR9D transmitter/receiver. This was indeed fitted to the Hurricane and Spitfire.

Re: TR1120 Receiver
You would think that for such an aircraft there would be plenty about the T1119, R1120, can't find much on the web.

Re: TR1120 Receiver
Lawrence,
Search for TR9 and I'm sure you'll be more successful. The R1120 wasn't a 'stand-alone' equipment, it was a sub-module of the TR9. But post-war they were sold separately in the surplus shops. That article starts off badly when it says "The TR9 is the receiver unit (R1120) of a...…….", so clearly the author wasn't too knowledgeable. The TR9 in its various versions is covered in detail in A.P.1186. Andy Andy |

Re: TR1120 Receiver
I searched for TR9D, a fair few hits but no schematic that I could find, is there a link for the A.P.?

Re: TR1120 Receiver
Just to say I thought I put a thank you to Andy and all others on this thread yesterday but it has gone.
Yes,I made an error it is R1120. Surely I had not forgot to hit "quick reply".
