Default Dansette Bermuda record players. Slow turntables.

Hi I have 2 dansette bermuda mk 1 both fitted with monach turntables they both have the same faults when switched on from cold the run extremely slow and after about 5 mins the suddenly run up to the right speed.
I have cleaned and regreased all moving parts and stripped the motors and cleaned and regreased, still no joy could anyone help both valves amplifier works well and both have new original cartridges fitted many thanks nick

Have you checked the idler wheels, they can go hard and shiny and may need redressing.

Have you used grease where you should have used oil?

I have oiled the bearings and when up to the right speed it all works perfect, is there any chance the amp could be dragging it down as it seems funny when it's cold it very slow, but after it gets to right speed will play fine all day long many thanks nick

AS post 2 when its been running a while it will generate heat and soften the rubber giving better drive

No, the amp and motor run completely separately.
