Default Panasonic NV-FJ710 VCR

Can anybody please tell me how to remove a stuck cassette from this Machine. I have the top off but cannot budge the cassette. I have tried the non-invasive method of plugging in with Eject button on machine or Remote pressed

Thank you

Pretty sure that's a Z-mech.

There are usually two ways of getting the cassette out - from the service menu or mechanically.

The service manual is invaluable here and you should be able to download it (or a close relative) from Elektrotanya.

Do you hear a whirring noise when trying to eject? If so the fault is almost certainly that the loading motor’s coupling has split.
