Emerson indentification
Hello all,
Have acquired this tiny Emerson radio today, but I have no idea about the type. I thought it was an CU265, but this one has black "feet" and has a much smaller dail. It is missing its backpanel and stationdail indicator (maybe someone has one ?). The valves are 6Q7GT; 6K8; 6A8GT an 6V6GT. It is a very small radio: 8.5 inch long; 3.5 inch deep and 5 inch high. At the bottom of the "gold" stationdail its reads: 4XZ 810A and 4XZ 810 B There is a paper note on the bottom of the bakelite case which reads "SEF CHASSIS". Have anyone got a clue ? Thanks in advance ! Han. Last edited by Gwarpy; 21st Nov 2015 at 8:11 pm. |

Re: Emerson indentification
It could be an AX-211 "Little Miracle" from 1938
Looks the same but the valve line up and chassis layout different Cheers Mike T

Re: Emerson indentification
6V6 doesn't "fit" with typical Emerson lineups. There doesn't appear to be a transformer in sight- a 25- or 35- output bottle and rectifier would be more likely.
Edit: Got it: http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/emerson_ax211.html Edit 2: Maybe?
