Wire clips
I'm not sure whether this is the right place for this post but here goes.
After many years I have resumed the restoration of my McMichael 365 radiogram. Like other "lidded" McMichael sets of the era it has a light fitted inside the lid. The lead to this isn't fixed at all and there is no sign of the fastenings. Can anyone suggest suitable fasteners/clips for the lead which won't look out of place?

I have had a few of these ,gave one away recently , if I remember correctly the wire was held with a small saddle some type of cloth and a very small tack with a flat head . Mick.

Hi Paul, a small single hole fixing P clip in copper, similar to those used to fix Pyro

The pictures on Radiomuseum show no clips, but I can send you one or two of the Pyro clips Ed suggests. I also have a few or those old steel staples with fibre saddles

With a moving thing like a lid, metal clips might cut into the cable. I'd opt for plastic "P" clips. I've seen them in black plastic, also a semi-translucent blue. I think Huco was a maker of these things. A rootle through Farnell or RS for P clips ought to give you some choices and lots of sizes.

Thanks all. Your suggestions have been very helpful
I am going to go for the smallest black plastic modern wire clips. I will tuck them into the corner and use small dome headed screws instead of nails to hold them down.
