TV Sets on Trial
Sorry, I've added the .pdf file.
In the Peto Scott write-up it also mentions the "3mc/s" bandwidth as in HKS latest restoration. Peter Last edited by peter_scott; 1st Jul 2020 at 9:23 am. |

Maybe because we have not joined the Facebook group.

Re: TV Sets on Trial
Very interesting, thanks very much for posting.
I note that the following: Page 12: the Cosor 927 has a double-pole mains switch whose contacts are bypassed by 1 MOhm resistors to dissipate any static electricity. Page 13: the Philips TV1437U uses balanced screened feeder: for all the others, feeder is either 80 Ohm coax or unspecified. Page 28: the Baird C1815 includes an internal aerial (mains) for use in high signal strength areas, as well as an external aerial socket. P36: at a TV exhibition, the BBC demonstrated a massive 21' x 16' TV picture. No details of the projector used to produce it. Several manufacturers had large screen projecor models for domestic use. The last page indicates it is a 1954 reprint of a 1953 publication. Last edited by emeritus; 1st Jul 2020 at 10:44 am. Reason: Typos |
