Default Vintage Monarch Standard Portable Turntable

Hi, i have a little Monarch Standard Hi-fi player, probably from the early 1960's..?? it's a small portable player in a black box with a chrome handle. Problem is, i can't switch it on, i don't have a power lead for it, it appears to be an old size, would anyone know what size it might be, it's like a figure of 8 socket, but a little bit smaller? Thanks C.

Is the make Monarch or Standard? Monarch is usually the BSR turntable.
Can you post a photo of the complete player, and/or the power socket.
