Default WW2 cartoon

While looking through some of my fathers collection of wartime cartoon books
I came across this and thought it appropriate

Lol!

I was listening the other night to some nice salsa on SW and I assumed it was Radio Havana but my Spanish is good enough to interpret the announcer saying "este es Radio Internacional de China"

Fougasse was a prolific cartoonist for the "Punch" magazine. My Father had a selection of the WW2 "Annuals" of "Punch" which as a child I remember browsing through. Of course the political satire went way over my head, but I did enjoy the cartoons of Fougasse, Brockbank, Searle, Emmett and others. One that sticks in my memory was of a young lady in the bath, a radio on a chair by her side. She had a rather startled expression, as the announcer had just said "We are now taking you over to the Royal Albert Hall....."
