What's this 2-pole low-voltage connector called?
They crop up in all sorts of places: NiCd battery-pack-connectors on "Maintained Luminaire" emergency-lights, windscreen-wiper-motor connectors on Ford Anglias, battery-powered radio-controlled-car "race packs", Pye "Luggable" W15FM Westminster porta-radios - or in this case a 15-Watt 12V solar-panel bought for topping-up the charge on the summerhouse's 125AH Lead-acid reserve.
But - what - are they called? OK, I could kludge it using old-style car "bullet" connectors and theiir back-to-back-sleeve connectors but that would be really a kludge. |

That kinda matches - and helps me with sourcing connectors/extension-cables to hook up a pair of solar-panels to charge the really-well-past-its-prime lead-acid lumpenbattery in my summerhouse.

RS have very high quality moulded ones.
Joe p.s. they have stupid 4" leads already connected. |

Re: What's this 2-pole low-voltage connector called?
Knowing what they're called, I have ordered a 5-Metre-long one for a third of what the local caravan/camping-place wanted.
OK, the wire will probably turn out to be made of recycled tinsel and Kit-Kat wrappers but it's not ever going to be passing more than 500mA so it'll be OK. |
