Default Export Avometer Catalogue Sheets/Price Lists

Over the years there has been considerable interest in topics relating to Avometers from contributors in Europe and Commonwealth countries, particularly Australia and New Zealand.

During the 1960s and 1970s, AVO designed and marketed a number of meters intended specifically for the export market, some of which seem never to have been on sale in the UK. These include the following:

Model 10 - Analogue Multimeter in case of same style as digital DA116/7

Models 14, 15, 16 & 20 - "Blue AVOs" case similar to EA113. Sample Model 16 is from January 1968, Model 20 is from February 1970. Both bought from Canada.

Model 21 Planned replacement for Model 20 - may not have been produced. Sample leaflet and instruction booklet obtained.

I have a photocopy of marked-up instruction booklet for the Models 15, 16 and 20 (Scored through and marked "21") in English, German, French and Spanish. The lack of the Model 14 in this booklet may indicate that it was never produced or withdrawn from sale due to lack of orders.

The company put considerable effort into export sales but eventually bought good quality digital multimeters, rebadged as AVO products, from the ABB group.

Any information, such as scans of price lists and catalogue sheets which could confirm when and where these models were on sale would be useful.
