Default Precision series 844

Hi folks. Have anyone shematic Prercision series 844 meter.
i just bought it and some wires is broke. I wanna know those place.
Another question, I know that meter use 40v and 4,5 v dry battery.
Is that 40v battery only for high resistanse measurment?
