Anyone ID this board/ processor, please?
This board with the micro USB socket, looks like a couple of SMT 3V3 voltage regulators, a button and a microprocessor - it looks like a commercial, replicable unit.
Does anyone recognise it generically or can comment on it, please? Is it like an Arduino board or ATtinyXX or similar? I know the chip has a high clock-speed, possibly up to 120MHz, with SRAM.

Ah, Mcmurdo beat me to it. This is probably the same thing, a little standard board-with-a-chip-on-it from NXP.
https://www.nxp.com/products/process...-board:OM11043 If this is in a drone or something, it will be programmed with code which makes it perform the specific application it is running there. If you buy another, it will most likely do nothing until programmed (but maybe you do have the code?). |

Hi there, thanks! It's not a drone, but you're right, it does need some code.
...which is a whole new departure for me, but I feel ready!

I don't have previous coding experience but I'm curious. I've seen little snippets in a text editor. Either that or I need to know enough to make a spec for someone else to get the result I want... Thanks!

Re: Anyone ID this board/ processor, please?
A short search on the website McMurdo pointed you to found this page:
https://os.mbed.com/handbook/mbed-NX...etting-Started If you have no previous experience with writing code for microprocessors I might suggest that the Arduino family of microprocessor PCBs would be a better place to start, partly because that system has a thriving user community. Arduino is programmed using a C or C-like language. I assume you are interested in that specific PCB because you already have one, or because you want to modify the way whatever it is installed in works. Re: Anyone ID this board/ processor, please?
Hi, thank you Sirius ,
Yes Kevin’s link was very instructive (thank you again, to Kevin) and I followed it and found the guide. My question was more to feel my way into the terrain that emerged in your last answer. Good advice ; I’ll take a deeper look at Arduino but yes, I do have a specific interest in the board. It’s high time I learned how to do this; I’ve been waiting for a reason. I’ll look for a manageable entry-level guide. Thanks again.
