What are these connectors called?
Can anyone tell me what these connectors are called? There's a number stamped on one of the hexagonal faces - 10H 528.
They look kind of military to me. Thanks ...

Re: What are these connectors called?
I think those are Pye aerial connectors as used on their valve PMR sets such as the Ranger.

Re: What are these connectors called?
10H 528 looks like an Air Ministry reference number. They were also used on various airborne systems such as Gee.

Re: What are these connectors called?
They are a Pye connector and as stated by other people, were used during the 2nd World War. Also used here in Australia on a VHF reciever AR17. 100 to 150 Mhz. WW2 also. The mating connector was set up as a right angle type. Most of the ones I have seen use a bakelite disk as an insulator so the VSWR is not really good.

Further to my previous reply, Air Ministry reference 10H covers

Re: What are these connectors called?
The Advance signal generators had an RF output socket of this type too.
Question - where can I obtain a plug to fit it? Barry |

Re: What are these connectors called?
It would be best to post this request in the Sets and parts wanted section.
