Metal Rectifier No38
I hoiked one of these out of one of those 4 valve kit superhets.
It still had a legible catalogue number ZA 15406. I Googled that and it came up with a reference to the No4 Power Unit for the #22 set using four of the Metal Rectifier No38 in a bridge formation. I am interested in finding the specification of a single rectifier. There was a painted number/set of numbers at the other end of the rectifier, but that is mostly missing due to the paint flaking off. |

Re: Metal Rectifier No38
I assume this is a stacked disc arrangement?
I've looked at the diagram for the PSU No, 4. It's a vibrator type with the bridge rectifier connected across the secondary of the step up transformer. It then supplies the HT via an LCLC smoothing arrangement. Output is 325V at 80mA.
