Default Codar Multiband 6

Hi People
Have got one of these radios that were kits ..however it is dead .think someone has put reverse polarity on it .. Has anyone got a circuit for this radio or failing that has anyone the deatails of the correct semiconductor devices in this one as i think the wrong ones have been out in ....
any help gratefully received or indeed any pointers for info

Can't help with the circuit but the normal problem when they have been connected 'reverse polarity' is the destruction of the reverse polarity diode (normally close to the DC input) and a burnt out track leading to the diode.

I've repaired 100's of units like that (mostly car radio, CB radios, etc.) and replacing the diode and tracking has completely restored them to working order.

Worth having a look for the burnt tracking before going any further. Good luck.

not sure there is such a diode judging by the look of this one .. but i know what you mean having repaired devices that have suffered this way....
