Just to say a huge thank you to the brilliant and kind member Graham, (llama) for his very kind gift of tags and help, for which he would not accept any payment, not even for P&P.
I just hope that at some time in the future, I may be able to repay his act of kindness.
Graham, you're a star.
Cheers, Ted.

Would just like to say another huge thank you to Glyn, (Welsh anorak) for all his unbelievably kind help, words, deeds and thoughts. Also for his gift of tape deck, panel and power supply and for also parcelling it up and sending it to me.
He is a credit to this forum in particular, and to humanity in general.
Many, many thanks Glyn, All my kindest regards,
Ted.

A huge thank you to two fantastic and kind forum members Chris (Herald1360) and Al. (Alistair D) for their very kind gift of screened lead for my Collaro deck.
What a great example they both are to this invaluable site, and even more astounding, neither one of them, would except payment of any kind.
My heartfelt thanks to both of them.
Best regards,
Ted.

I joined this forum in September and it's the only one I'm on. I don't post every day but I always check it every few hours just in case I miss something! I'm not always right but does anyone say "Shut up you idiot, you don't know what you're talking about"? Not a bit of it, instead some kind soul patiently explains to me the error of my ways while being careful not to make me look stupid. I've found this attitude very humbling indeed and that's never a bad thing!
So I'd like to thank all the members who have made me feel very welcome here. It's astonishing to find such courtesy in today's world and especially online. The members of this forum are the best on the net and I think you're all fantastic.
Also, I'd like to thank the team who make it all work. It can be a thankless task and I don't envy them! You're all wonderful and having read through some of the old threads I can honestly say you've got this forum through some less than pleasant episodes!
Last but not least I'd like to thank Mr. Paul Stenning without whose vision, patience and persistence, none of this would have been possible. Sir, you are a prince among men!
I've been in this hobby, specialising in record players since 1979 when I was 10 years old. The last 34 years have been very lonely as far as my hobby is concerned. Not any more!
My heartfelt thanks go out to all concerned.
Oh, and merry Christmas everyone, and be lucky in 2014.
With deepest gratitude,
Paul

Thanks to David (G4EBT) and Colin (Armstrong) for the wobbulator PCBs - a job I detest having to do.
Thread on way in SS when I've taken some pics, as the project is now complete.

Hello,

Many thanks to Ed (ScopeMonkey) in Tokyo for taking time out on two separate occasions to show me the delights of that wonderful city. Including two totally different styles of Japanese restaurants! But Akihabara - an electronics dreamworld.

Many Thanks for the efforts of Forum members Ron Bryan & Howard in the repair of my Roberts R200.

No doubt one of these gentlemen will be telling the tale as a Success Story.
The tin below shows the amount of life-expired/defective parts that were changed, so you can see that it wasn't just a new badge & a dose of shoe polish.
My own contribution to the job was minimal: Missing 'fixings'.

Belated thanks are owed to some very generous people on here, I've been hectic recently with young baby to look after and not being able to get back to the Uk too often!

Firstly Andy / Dr wobble for the box of tapes he took the time to send me a few months back, far more than I'd expected, what a gent.

Also to Mike Brett for mailing me the Grundig literature he so kindly offered FOC last month.

And to Jeremy valvecollector for the record deck parts he put aside for me which will serve me very well when I do up a beloved Bush unit!

Much appreciated, chaps. Best regards for 2014 to you and yours.

Hi,

This is just to say a very, very warm hearted thank you to jim jobe for sending me a lovely selection of diodes and transistors.

The kindness I've had from all on here goes beyond words. I can't speak it just overwhelmes me and I can't get the words out.

Thank you all.

Paul.
