Re: EM81 tuning valve
Oh, yes, youre right, I thought that the Svetlana seller was in the U.S. as the prices are in $USD, must be the currency they list them under. Laurence

Re: EM81 tuning valve
The currency stated has nothing to do with who owns the company.
It's very commonplace for international suppliers to quote prices in $US, which is a rather more significant currency than £ GB. PayPal automatically converts GBP to dollars. Some websites - Tubestore for example, which I mentioned in post 7 above - quote prices in $US, but on their website towards the top of the page is a currency converter, where you can change the price to £GB. Their NOS 6EP1/6BR5/EM80 magic eyes are currently £5.52 but that can change from one day to the next depending on how the pound fares against the dollar. When you add anything to the basket and go to checkout, it adds the shipping cost. Tubestore's is in Russia, and when I've had valves from them, including several 6EP1s, they've arrived within a couple of weeks. (They have more than 100 6EP1s in stock currently). This should be in GBP: https://tubes-store.com/product_info...&products_id=5 Their prices for other valves are also competitive. Worth browsing the site.

Re: EM81 tuning valve
Thank You for the link David, no doubt this will come in useful in future. I'd already ordered the valve from Ebay (I'm giving the Bush set a once over on Laurence's behalf) when I saw this but the price difference is only a couple of pounds so no huge loss. Will certainly have a look through their site though as there are potentially other valves I will need in the near future.
Cheers, Dan. |
