Here is a picture of the back and where the speakers will go. Do you happen to know what speakers of need to look at getting at all?

The loudspeaker sockets are DIN type.
A search on the web for something like "2 Pin DIN Hi-Fi Speaker Plug Cable Audio Connector PACK of 2 - Screw Connections" will show the matching plugs.
You can either buy used loudspeakers with ones like those already fitted (said 'speakers may not have been the best quality when new, and won't have improved with age!), or buy the plugs and new(er) loudspeakers (and some suitable wire if not already fitted.)

These look like later computer speakers. You will be even more impressed when this is used with a pair of 1970/80s speakers from an auction site. Look for Goodmans, Wharfedale, Tannoy, Celestion and similar.

It would be odd if this had been stored away without the original speakers.

They are speakers from a not great CD player. I will have a look for some of those ones .

This record player was kept in a room my great Nan never really went in for many years and I think the speakers were thrown away many years ago.
