Default Quale M5 loudspeakers

Hi

I have been given a pair of Quale M5 loudspeakers.

Does anybody know anything about them?

Thanks
Chris

I think you may need to re-check your spelling. You mean Quad M5s. Loads of info on these with just 2 keystrokes. Well regarded too....

Chris 308,

Could you provide more pictures; full front & full rear as they may be similar to the Epos M5 but without seeing yours fully, I may be wrong.

Chris, Epos M5's are not the same, sorry to gets your hopes up.

Sometimes products are branded for a particular retailer or even a catalogue for a limited run and may even be offered under a different name (Brand Engineering)

Here's pics of the Epos ones (these are expensive ones)

Someone will pop along with the answer, good luck.

To confuse the issue, a further search reveals there is a Quayle brand of speakers too.

Now my eyes are boggled with looking !

I can't say I've ever heard of Quale speakers. The only reference I can find is people trying to sell them (unsuccessfully) on eBay and Gumtree

I guess the bottom line is that if they sound good, use them and keep them. Just because they don't sell on auction sites doesn't mean they are rubbish. Unfortunately audio gear buyers can be very brand conscious.

The look like re-badged JPWs to me and probably date from the late 1990s.

Budget stuff sold by Richer Sounds but very good performers for what they cost (just under a ton but sometimes discounted to much less). I still use some with our telly via an amplifier and they sound fantastic.

EDIT: Suspicions confimed here, apparently both form part of AGI (Audio Group International): https://reader.exacteditions.com/issues/32054/page/26
