Default PM Quota limit.

Does the forum software inform a member when (s)he needs to clear some space to receive more PMs?

I'm trying to reply to a PM from EF80TVVALVE.

I have had a PM 90% full warning recently, so I would say yes, the forum does warn you when you are nearing your limit.

Hi Col, the box at the top right on the main menu screen gives both % full and total (sent received ) posts.

Mine only gives the total - no percentage. The latter is, however, easy to calculate by dividing by five (unless you're a moderator, who I seem to recall have a higher allowance than the standard 500 - and need it!)

Yes we do.
If you go into private messages you get another box. This one gives both your total and your allowance, but leaves you to work out the percentage. It also has the command to empty the folder, but there are options at the bottom of the page to save them first.

My browser shows it as a bar graph so that the % can be estimated visually.

There's also now a big red warning banner that comes up when it gets full.

Isn't there an option to send folk emails too? Helps if their box is full up.

Andy.

There is if the member agrees to receive emails via the forums. To use this option click on the member's username to the left of their post and select it from the drop down menu.

The email will be sent without either member having their email address revealed.
