RGD 103 mono tape recorder
Hi
A friend of mine has asked me to have a look at this tape recorder as it appears to be very slow on start up but gets up to speed after 5-10 minutes. I have looked on the web for any information (service manual) for which I found a supplier but little else. I was wondering if any forum members may be able to offer any advice or information regarding this particular model before I have a look. Thanks Ed. |

Re: RDG 103 mono tape recorder
Do you mean RGD?
There's an RGD 104 here, it may be similar: http://www.service-data.com/section.php/7181/1/104. |

Re: RDG 103 mono tape recorder
A manual probably won't be much help for this kind of fault. Chances are it will need the motor stripping down and the bearings cleaning and lubricating. Post pics if unsure.
