Default Memory Jog....

Sometime in the region of 1980 -1986, probably nearer to 1986 than 1980....

A manufactures short TV or Video course (poss. 1 or 2 day) 'twas up London way somewhere, not North London, we travelled up from Cornwall, the hotel the manufacturer arranged or recommended for us to stay at was....somewhere up that neck of the woods...I remember that it had some connection or some theme to do with Imperial Airways.

Does any course that fits the bill ring any bells?

Lawrence.

Cheers Just looked at photo's for the said airport, pretty much sure that was the place, and yes possibly Philips.....Your reply has just jogged a vague memory of attending a Philips laser disc course around that time, Cheers again.

There was a large Philips site just outside Gatwick airport, in Horley.

It was formerly called the "Mullard Research Laboratories".

This is a photograph of its demolition I found on the web

I worked there as a contractor between 2005 - 2006.
