That interference looks like 'corona' to me, ie eht leakage from somewhere. I would have expected to see it on both line standards though.
I've just looked at the book and boost is specified as 770V on 405 and 820V on 625. Looks like you are spot on there. How much difference in width is there? The coil under the old overwind seems to only be used on 625. Did you manage to fit the new overwind over the top of this coil? Nice to see another GEC version as well! Cheers Nick |

I like that masteradio version
I have the sobell version of that nice sets even though they are slightly earlier than the 1000/2000 series I think the I/F panel has a PCL84 video output rather than the PFL200 in the 1000/2000 sets The fault I was scratching my head about was nothing more than my Aurora rf lead , don’t know why that should suddenly break I’ve been using the same lead for years I had to change the loptx again to cure the width fault but at least it will do as a spare if any of the others go Here is a picture of my sobell and the McMichael finally working |
