Hi
Here is a list of those confirmed any I have not listed please let me know! David Simpson Zelandeth Fidobsa Halfabee Ken Retroaudio Peter Scott AlistairD (tentative) Hamish Boxer Radioman Frank C Dave Moll Fernseh Mickeymushradio Kalee99 Flyingtech55 Norman Raeburn Some of course are bringing up other forum members and there will be some wive's & GF's. Theres room for about 30 so it's still not too late to come. Sadly Steve_P due to his health cannot come but I'll make him a 405 line tape to watch it on! and Mark the Mender has dropped out due to personal commitments but I am sure he will come next year when we will be in a more central place and have it in a hall. See you soon, A safe journey to all and I am sure that so far Frank C is the furthest travelled unless we can twist John Wakely's arm to come up!!!

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi.
The final preparations are underway, there is a lot of things to swap, give away, and only a very few items (not mine) to sell. Hopefully Fido wont bring his BSA, I wouldn't llike to have a radiogram strapped to my back all the way to Aberdeen Retroaudio forget the Midget, hire a Transit All joking aside there is a lot of stuff and everyone will get something or I'll be busy Monday dumping things See you soon

Yes, thanks Trevor & Anne for all the nice grub and the extra junk for my collection. It was good to meet so many of the site regulars in one go.

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Once again Trevor & Anne have put together a superb event and in good weather too. It was very nice to meet some familiar faces from previous meetings and to chat to some news faces too.
A couple of interesting teles accompanied David and Frank to the meeting. David's being the small but incredibly heavy EKCO, this being the deluxe version (with sound receiver) of the silent standard model that he brought last year. Frank brought the chassis and CRT of his console Ultra in which he has successfully rewound the EHT overwinding. Also interesting was his RACS rebuilt CRT which looked bright and sharp. During the afternoon Frank and I made a visit to Bob Baird's museum in Sorn just down the road. Bob has a fascinating collection of TVs and radios and loads of curiousities. I've put a few photos from Trevor's and Bob's here: http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/h...ottish%20Meet/ But couldn't resist adding the "Mine's bigger!" here as a sample. Many thanks to all who contributed to a very enjoyable day but a special thanks to Trevor and Anne. Peter |

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Indeed, I felt a most successful day. Thanks again to Trevor and Anne. Also to "Mrs Mikeymushradio" for her assistance with keeping everyone fed and watered.
I hope that Trevor's pile of stuff headed for the tip hadn't grown too much by the end of the day. For my part, my apologies for forgetting to retrieve the unclaimed items from what I had brought.

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
A big thank you to Trevor and Anne for a fantastic day.
I never seen as many working 405s in one place before. It was great to meet everyone and put faces to names, and the van is much heavier going home. Thanks again for all the hospitality, it has been a really enjoyable trip All the best Frank and Carmel |

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and well worth the trip, and thanks again for the lovely catering and even the Scottish rain didn't manage to dampen spirits.

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hi.
Thanks to all for their kind comments. Other than a shower in the morning and a downpour in the afternoon the weather was fine, I have landed some very nice stuff and a few interesting projects courtesy of Mikeymushradio!! a big thanks here. Everyone was great and the day actually lasted a lot longer with Fernseh, Frank_C & Kalee99 here for a while on Saturday evening (Fernseh stayed with us though on Saturday night) and Fernseh leaving about 10.30 last night, so it was a great weekend. One omission though was the Aberdeen lads (except Fidobsa) so I am hoping everything is all ok, I'll pm David Simpson today and chek all is OK. I will post some photos soon, O and Peter yours are great!

Big thanks to hosts Trevor and Anne,
There efforts were much appreciated; The food was fantastic (Hope my Chocolate cake did not put on too many pounds)? It was a grand day all round and smashing to meet other members. I got some great vintage books so I am all set for a good old feet up and read now I am home. Thanks again, Paul |

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
I'd like to echo all the above comments
I had a great day out and the quality of the 'junk' being offered was excellent - I hope you didn't have too much left over at the end of the day Trevor! A big 'thank-you' to Trevor for organising the event and to Anne and helpers for the superb food Andy

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Trevor & Guys, Sorry I couldn't make it down. Email sent to Trevor on Sat.
Off to Hostpital tomorrow for day-surgery, so on starvation diet today. Didn't fancy that after a 360 mile round trip yesterday. Open offer to Forum folk who want a wee break up in the NE of Scotland, or are passing by - two empty double bedrooms & a caravan - plus loads of homegrown grub from smallholding. (Not a business advert, Moderator, just a friendly offer). Seems I missed out again on a great day. Regards, David |

Re: 2010 Scottish Meet & Swap
Hello Again.
Here are some photo's from the meet. I had the day off work today and cleared everything away, I was surprised that more had actually been taken than I thought. I was a bit sneaky though and smuggled some manuals into David's van A big thanks to everyone that brought food and drink. Also thanks to Margaret (margaretmushradio) for all her help waitressing. In all a really good day.
