One looks to have gone to air. The lump at left looks like a vibrator.

I suspect that this is a spares kit for a fifties military receiver.

OWZAT!

Though I have a small colony of R209 receivers, I must confess to not being about to spend £100 or more on a few valves in a box, considering that I have recently been able to buy a complete R209 valve set in genuine US Military packaging for under £50.

I agree with Radio Wrangler, the CV785 or DF91 has gone down to air.

I have a few boxes of military spares similar to that in various conditions.

The best I ever found was headed to the garbage tip. A freebie!
It had 4 NOS 210's and an 801 in it. I smiled all the way home! It was the spares kit for a BC610, IIRC.

Best military spares find here was on a radio rally stall full of Nato double-bagged spares. Two bags contained cardboard boxes with only nato stock numbers, 50p each. I wasn't sure but the boxes seemed familiar. Did I gamble a quid?. Each one contained a brand new HP 478A Thermistor mount power meter head.

Will we ever have such buried treasure again?
