Default Magnavox stereo deluxe

Hi new member here. I am trying to find information about my new purchase. It’s a Magnavox as the title says. It works and sounds pretty good but has a couple of issues. It has occasional static but otherwise sounds great. Actually LOVE the sound! Second, the changer works but misses the record by about a quarter inch. Anyone know how to fix these things?

That could be caused by any one of a hundred things. If it's a 2 stage amplifier then there'll be a coupling capacitor that if original may well be electrically leaky and if not attended to could cause expensive damage.

It's an American player and this is a UK forum, so not familiar with the particular model, although they're all much of a muchness. The deck looks like a Collaro, which was part of Magnavox and there will be a method of adjusting the arm set-down under the rear end of the tone arm.

You're going to have to pull it apart for some servicing and do a bit of reading up and study on the subject if you're serious about getting this player running reliably.

There must be a separate amplifier if this really is a 'stereo' model'?

The tone arm set-down adjustment is via a screw at one o'clock under the platter. It's a very fine adjustment through a hole in the metal baseplate to the screw head under.

That depends on whether its a Conquest or the later C60 Studio.

Can we have a picture showing the controls of the deck itself?

Hey thanks for all the replies. I am committed to fixing this player. I have a ringer to help me. I have a friend who is a retired electrical engineer. He hasn't worked on turntables before but can surely help with the electron parts. I have included several more close up photos to give you a better idea of the provenance of the player. Any help you can give me will be welcome.
