Cossor 376B Power Supply
I've recently had a Cossor Type 376B valve-based wireless come into my possession.
It was a skip-find and appears to have spent quite a lot of time in a shed somewhere as there's woodworm damage to the case in places. A cursory inspection suggests that it's otherwise complete. Now I understand this model is battery powered but what would be the input voltage? |

Re: Cossor 376B Power Supply
It used a 2V accumulator for the filaments and a 120V dry battery for the HT. I think this model also used a 9V grid bias battery.

Re: Cossor 376B Power Supply
There's two versions of the 376B electrically they are both battery superhets with qpp output.
The cabinets are very different but the chassis not so much. The service sheets for both versions are available top right. Check out my rogues gallery to see which is which. Cheers Mike T

Re: Cossor 376B Power Supply
Thanks for the information.
I've attached 3 photos of it. As you can see, it's a bit rough but appears complete. |

Re: Cossor 376B Power Supply
Yes that the later version
https://www.service-data.com/section...-later-version Yes it looks a bit rough so before you to involved in restoration I would at least check continuity of the phase splitter and output transformers these will be difficult to replace on this set but another forum member Ed Dinning and some others do a rewinding service, but it won't be cheap. Cheers Mike T

Re: Cossor 376B Power Supply
Thanks, I'll dig my meter out and see what I can find.
Would there be any value to it from a parts point of view? The valves appear fine but obviously I haven't been able to test them. There's a 220 B, 200 DD, 220 P/A, plus two more I can't read the numbers off. |
